CANDIDATE ANNOUNCEMENT Alia Sarfraz has put her bid in to run for State Representative in the 52 District of Illinois. Alia has supported the needs of our organization and strongly believe that she will do the same for similar organizations, such as ours. She has always advocated for the needs of shelters, empowerment of women, and homelessness in Chicago and suburban areas. If you care about these issues, you should put your vote behind Alia Sarfraz.
FIRST TRANSITIONAL HOUSE (CLOSED)
Below are pictures of our initial housing facility established for homeless women. We were able to service a total of 13 women before having to close our doors after learning that the building was a health hazard. Fortunately, placement was identified for the women who were in residence at the time of doors closing.
Due to the continued rate of homelessness among women, Sisters Nurturing Sisters is seeking to re-open their housing initiative for homeless women.
We are in need of a 4-5 bedroom house with 4-3 baths with a finished basement located within the city limits of Chicago. We are seeking funds in order to procure such property. We are; therefore, asking you to consider Sisters Nurturing Sisters in your giving to bring our wish into fruition.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH Sisters Nurturing Sisters community clothing give-away takes place with the assistance of neighborhood community organizations and places of worship. Please contact us if you would like for Sisters Nurturing Sisters, Inc to organize a clothing give-away in your community.
